About the Role

As a Licensed Massage Therapist at Thrive, you will be working directly with clients using a wide range of massage modalities. And as part of the Thrive team, you will be helping to improve the quality of people’s lives by taking bodywork beyond pampering to treatment. You will conduct intake interviews, set clear and trackable goals, and develop treatment plans to address the symptoms that are causing your clients’ pain and dysfunction. At Thrive, you will have a say in how many hours you work, how many clients you see, and how much time you would like between sessions. We offer a flexible mid-week schedule and NO WEEKENDS!

To be seriously considered, please have the following qualifications: 

 

  • Education: Must have completed a massage therapy diploma program with at least 600 hours of study. 

  • Experience: Entry level to senior level experience 

  • Skills: Deep tissue is a must, and bonus modalities include myofascial release, manual lymphatic drainage, Swedish, Craniosacral, special populations, kinesiology taping, Gua Sha, and fire cupping. 

  • Basic understanding of anatomy and kinesiology. 

  • Characteristics: This is a professional, appointment-based position that requires industry ethics, dependability, good communication, and people skills. 

  • A desire to continue growing and learning in a team environment. 

Responsibilities

As a Licensed Massage Therapist at Thrive, you will work with a diverse range of massage modalities including deep tissue, myofascial release, manual lymphatic drainage, Swedish, PNF, kinesiology taping, and fire cupping. Your main objective is to conduct detailed client intake interviews, analyze posture, and develop symptom-specific treatment plans to enhance each client's quality of life by reducing pain. 


Key responsibilities of this role include: 


  • Conduct thorough intake interviews to understand the client's concerns and needs. 

  • Analyzing posture and assessing the client's physical condition to develop personalized treatment plans. 

  • Creating and implementing customized treatment protocols to relieve pain and improve the client's well-being. 

  • Maintaining accurate SOAP notes and charting client progress. 

  • Performing laundry and light cleaning duties as required. 

  • Rescheduling and cashing out clients at the end of their appointments. 

  • Opening and closing the clinic as necessary to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
